Care Recommendations
Care recommendations are recommendations that are provided to caregivers based on information provided to the care team as well as Astrid’s AI engine.
Astrid supports 3 types of care recommendations:
- Immediate Recommendations
- Monitoring Recommendations
- Care Team Recommendations
This tutorial will provide a description of each type of recommendation as well as information on how you can interact with these recommendations to empower your care delivery and inform your care decisions.
Immediate Recommendations
- Creation of a new Astrid care chart.
- Completion of an Astrid check-in.
- Update to Astrid’s Symptom Translator.
- Completion of an ATEC assessment.

Monitoring Recommendations
- Celebrate a positive change in behavior and/or progress towards completing a goal. As well as, highlight activities which could have contributed.
- Surface goals whose progress may have froze or digressed and prompt a review and/or change in strategy to achieve the goal.
- Surface symptoms and/or behaviors who’s severity has changed in a negative way and prompt a review of associated activities.

Care Team Recommendations
Care Team recommendations are recommendations provided to caregivers by any member of a care team.
Astrid supports 2 types of care team member recommendations:
- Activity recommendations, which promote actionable steps to help solve a problem or reach a goal.
- Goal recommendations, which help track progress towards achievable milestones in abilities, reduction of symptoms and/or changes in behavior.
When you receive an activity recommendation from your care team, you can click on the vertical 3-dot menu to either:
- Dismiss the recommendation. In which case, the recommendation will be removed from your charts recommendation list and no other updates will be made to your chart, or
- Accept the recommendation. In which case, the activity will be added to the care plan module of your chart so that you can begin to take action.

Once the activity recommendation has been accepted into your care plan, you can locate the activity within the care plan module. Now that the activity has been added to your care plan, Astrid can begin to monitor the activity and report on which activities are contributing to progress.

When you receive a goal recommendation from your care team, you can click on the vertical 3-dot menu to either:
- Dismiss the recommendation. In which case, the recommendation will be removed from your charts recommendation list and no other updates will be made to your chart, or
- Accept the recommendation. In which case, the goal will be added to the goals module of your chart so that you can begin to support it with your care plan.

Once the goal recommendation has been accepted into your chart, you can locate the goal within the goals module. Here you can begin linking activities to the goal to help understand which interventions are helping make progress towards achieving the goal. In addition, this connection between activities and goals helps enable Astrid’s AI-engine to make personalized and helpful monitoring recommendations.
